The Opening Game Pass Titles of 2026 Demonstrate Xbox Remains Committed.

Across the gaming landscape, fans keep sounding the knell for the Xbox brand. Xbox was recently outsold by a relatively obscure console. Xbox fan sites have started writing on PS5 topics as a new development. The past year represented complete chaos for Xbox and Microsoft. But if we're going solely off the upcoming Game Pass lineup in 2026, it is apparent that Microsoft continues to plan to engage players with compelling titles on its flagship service.

The Immediate Additions

The duo of games you can play right now today, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, are not the headliners. Instead, the excitement lies in what's arriving to Game Pass in the coming weeks that's truly noteworthy.

Significant Forthcoming Releases

On Jan. 13, Game Pass will add the underrated Star Wars Outlaws, a sprawling adventure that refreshes conventional open-world tropes with a cosmic robbery tale. An additional significant inclusion is Resident Evil Village featuring the towering Lady Dimitrescu, previously described as "an ideal blend of horror and action."

Noteworthy Smaller Games

Yet, the less-hyped additions coming to Game Pass soon are quite compelling. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, the criminally overlooked roguelike offering thrilling gameplay, drops on Jan. 7th — and it merits a playthrough whether or not you experienced the first Lost in Random game.

The British post-apocalyptic game from last year may draw you in remarkably quickly.

Atomfall, the stealth survival game by the developers behind Sniper Elite, also warrants your attention. Game Pass Ultimate subscribers also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to look forward to.

A Well-Rounded Collection

In summary, these aren't the most groundbreaking additions to Game Pass, nor are they massive exclusive blockbusters that validate the subscription alone. However, this batch of games are rock solid. There's a good mixture of older titles you may have skipped and fairly new titles that didn't get the attention they were due initially — which makes them excellent choices to find a new audience on Game Pass.

Hope you're ready to say goodbye to The Grinch Christmas Adventures, however.
